Lorenzo is a 43-year-old farm worker from Georgia and father of two daughters. Lorenzo works twelve hour shifts every day except for Saturday, the only day off he has to spend with his family. While picking tomatoes in blistering 112-degree weather, Lorenzo witnessed colleagues lose their lives to extreme heat. Workers like Lorenzo have a hard time reporting abuses to the labor department because of the necessity to hold onto their job. He hopes that by sharing his story, farm workers are treated better, respected for their work and paid better for enduring extreme weather while feeding the nation.
